Designers used to have to control, but now they are being called upon to be facilitators. Control means to be able to have control of every detail. Facilitators provide the basic outline, but do not actually provide all the details for it. An example of this is facebook. Although everyone's page has the same basic outline, a person is able to change and insert whatever material they want within its boundaries.
